Get answers to common questions about Whole Body Cryotherapy.
Whole Body Cryotherapy is generally safe when administered by trained staff. We screen for contraindications and monitor each session. Pregnant clients, severe cardiac conditions, or uncontrolled hypertension should consult a physician first.
A typical session includes a brief orientation and two to three minutes of cold exposure inside the chamber. Total appointment time is about 10 to 20 minutes including prep and dressing.
For acute recovery, many clients start with two to three sessions per week for several weeks. Athletes may use daily sessions around intense training; maintenance often moves to weekly or as-needed treatments.
Wear minimal, comfortable clothing; undergarments, socks, and dry shoes are recommended. Remove jewelry, makeup, lotions, and wet clothing. Our staff provides gloves and protective socks if needed and will guide you through preparation.
Most people experience temporary redness, numbness, or tingling that resolves quickly. Rare side effects include frostbite or prolonged numbness; staff monitors skin and stops treatment immediately if adverse reactions occur.
People with uncontrolled hypertension, recent heart attack, severe cardiac conditions, pregnancy, Raynaud's disease, severe cold allergies, or implanted electronic devices should avoid cryotherapy or obtain medical clearance first.
